Tuesday, 11/11

Supernatural (The CW; 8 pm CST) celebrates its 200th episode tonight.


^^^Not much this week (obviously), so how 'bout some of the announcements made for this season (and the summer)?

Dallas, The Bridge, and Unforgettable won't be coming back.

Under the Dome and Extant got renewals.

Royal Pains got a two-season pick-up.

How to Get Away With Murder got a season pick-up (15 episodes).

black-ish got a season pick-up (24 eps).

Forever got a full season pick-up.

Gotham got a full season pick-up (22 eps).

Kingdom (DirectTV) got a two-season pick-up (20 eps).

CSI's (final) season got cut to 18 episodes (partly to make room for CSI: Cyber).

Scorpion, NCIS: New Orleans, Stalker, and Madam Secretary all got full season pick-ups.

Bad Judge and A to Z will finish their 13 episode orders and then are done.

Selfie may or may not get to air all 13 episodes before it gets pulled-- but it is done filming.

Manhattan Love Story is already yanked from the schedule. Keep it on your DVR if you're a fan; you never know when ABC might burn the rest of the episodes off.

Anger Management will air its 100th and final episode on 12/22.

Hell on Wheels will get a fifth and final season next year.

Saturday, 11/8

Doctor Who (BBC America; 8 pm CST). Season Finale.
Loved Peter Capaldi's new Doctor, but didn't love all the stories they built around him.
Here's to hoping they utilize him better next year.

Now this is the loony shit that adult swim should be doing more of; the stuff that put it on the map in the first place.
In this Scooby Doo-inspired show, Mike Tyson and a motley crew of companions solve mysteries.

Restaurant Redemption; Cooking Network. 8 pm CST. 2nd Season Premiere.

Benched; USA. 9:30 pm CST. Series Premiere.
Eliza Coupe stars as a corporate lawyer who has a meltdown and has to become a public defender.

Friends of the People; truTV. 9:30 pm CST. Series Premiere.
A sketch comedy series that sounds a lot like In Living Color.


Wednesday, 10/29

American Pickers; History. 8 pm CST. 7th Season Premiere.


Thursday, 10/30

The Big Bang Theory moves back to Thursday (7:00 pm) now that football has moved to the NFL Network.

2-1/2 Men; CBS. 8:00 pm CST. 12th-- and Final-- Season Premiere.

The McCarthys; CBS. 8:30 pm CST. Series Premiere.
I'm not going to waste the time trying to put into my own words what this show is about.
If you've watched any CBS show since May, you've seen the commercials.
I'll let you be the judge-- but it looks forced and, even worse, not very funny-- to me.
