You can't say NBC isn't trying

Friday Night Lights was one of the most critically-acclaimed and beloved (by a small group of fans) shows of last year. When NBC moved it to Friday nights this season, many thought it meant NBC had lost faith in it (not me, but, you know, I'm a genius).

In a brilliant move, NBC pared down the Season One DVD set (just a few deleted scenes as extras) to keep the price low in the hopes that people would pick it up. It retails for about $25-- an extremely cheap price for a brand new hour-long DVD season, and sales can be had (I picked it up on sale at Best Buy for $15 this week).

And if having the price so low isn't enough, NBC is also offering a money-back guarantee. If you don't like the series, send it back with a receipt and a form you can get online, and they'll refund your money.

Awesome move. Check the show out if you haven't (I have heard nothing but good about it), and pick up the DVD set.
