Get Caught Inbetweener

I've checked out the first three episodes of BBC America's The Inbetweeners (8:30 pm CST), and I'm hooked.

It's lewd and (very) crude-- but also very, very funny.

The best way I can describe it is to say it's Superbad in England.

And even though you missed the first three eps, BBC America is nice enough to repeat the first two eps this Saturday night (at 9:00 & 9:30 pm CST, 12:00 & 12:30 am, and 3:00 and 3:30 am).  Repeats of the third episode air again next Wednesday at 8:00 pm before the fourth episode airs at 8:30, with repeats of those two eps throughout Wednesday and early Thursday.

The first ep introduces us to Will, the new kid in school, who ends up putting his foot in his mouth over and over.  He meets up with three other castoffs (Simon, the romantic; Neil, the smart kid (maybe); and Jay, the ladies man/pervert), and they bond over trying to get a drink at a pub-- which should elevate them in status.

The second ep is a classic: the four boys skip school, attain some booze, partake in the spirits for the first time-- and then try to make through the rest of their day, with predictably bad results.  The end of the episode features Will and Simon trying to convince their parents not to punish them.  Fantastic stuff.

The third episode features Simon getting his driver's license (in a very unusual-- and hilarious-- way), getting a P.O.S to drive, and driving the gang to the amusement park.

Here's a link of some Simon moments that may explain what the show is about:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G48J5ZpRbqs

Now I will say again: it's very crude.  But I'll also say again: it's very funny.

Check it out.
