Premieres and Notables; February 15-21, 2010

Not many new things going on due to the Winter Olympics (which have been great so far), so take some time to watch the international competition.  I'm going to try to watch every televised competition (and I admit I'll FF through some of the runs/heats, especially from those not from the U.S. or Canada and are not expected to medal).  It's not too tough. NBC/MSNBC/CNBC are only airing about a dozen hours a day.

You never know when a miracle will happen.  There have been been some great moments just in Day One.

Monday, 2/15

NPH (that's Neil Patrick Harris for those "not in the know") guest-voices on The Penguins of Madagascar (Nickelodeon; 7 pm CST) as their nemesis, Dr. Blowhole.

Tuesday, 2/16

Paranormal Cops (A&E; 9:30 pm CST).  Series Finale.

Wednesday, 2/17

Leverage (TNT; 9 pm CST).  Season Finale.

Thursday, 2/18

Reporter; HBO. 8:30 pm CST. Special.
This documentary follows journalist Nicholas D. Kristoff's mission to show the world the suffering that is going on in eastern Congo.

Friday, 2/19

The Ricky Gervais Show; HBO. 8 pm CST. Series Premiere.
The record-setting podcast gets animated.  I've read that the podcast is hilarious at times (and I'm reading a book with some transcipts of it now; some funny stuff), but animating those same podcasts apparently doesn't play as well if the reviews I've read are any indication...

The Life & Times of Tim; HBO. 8:30 pm CST. 2nd Season Premiere.

Real Time With Bill Maher; HBO. 9 pm CST. 8th Season Premiere.

Sunday, 2/21

The Family Crews; BET. 8 pm CST. Series Premiere.
This reality show follows Everybody Hates Chris dad, Terry Crews', family.
Oh, man, it's bad when an actor of Crews' caliber needs this between gigs.
