Premieres and Notables; February 8-14, 2010

Monday, 2/8

Heroes (NBC; 8 pm CST). Season Finale.
There's been talk that this is the series finale, but I think NBC will give it one more year. It could be a shortened year, but I think they'll end it properly.
[But then, the large amounts of pilots they've ordered could force out this show next year, too.]

NFL Full Contact; truTV. 9 pm CST. Series Premiere.
Gonna miss football about the Super Bowl? Well, truTV is going to keep your addiction alive.
This show features subjects like: crowd control, draft coverage, behind the scenes at the Cowboy's first game in their new stadium...

Tuesday, 2/9

Past Life; FOX.  8 pm CST. Series Premiere.
A psychic who specializes in past lives teams up with an ex-cop to solve crimes.
[Oddly enough, there's no mention of how every single case gets thrown out of court due to lack of credible evidence.]

The Jay Leno Show (NBC; 9 pm CST). Series Finale.
Didn't know it was still on, did you?

Wednesday, 2/10

Friday Night Lights (DIRECTV Chan 101; 8 pm CST). Season Finale.
(NBC begins the repeat run on April 30)

The Robert Verdi Show; Logo. 9 pm CST.   Series Premiere.
Another celeb stylist gets a reality show.

Danica Patrick guest stars on CSI: NY (CBS; 9 pm CST) as... wait for it... a racecar driver.

Thursday, 2/11

Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains; CBS. 7 pm CST. 20th Season Premiere.
I haven't watched this show the past few years, but I just may watch this "all-star" season.

Past Life (FOX; 7 pm) reairs its pilot and launches the second ep in its real timeslot.

Eilzabeth Banks guest stars on 30 Rock (NBC; 8:30 pm CST).
(I looooove Elizabeth Banks...)

Friday, 2/12

The Winter Olympics kicks off with the Opening Ceremonies on NBC at 6:30 pm.  Two weeks of competition to follow on NBC/Universal networks.  Dig in-- it's gonna be awesome.

Smallville (CW; 7 pm CST) visits a comic book convention.
Oh, yeah, Zatanna shows up, too.

John Oliver's New York Stand-up Show (Comedy Central; 10 pm CST). Season Finale.

Saturday, 2/13

Kick Buttowski-- Surburban Daredevil; Dixney XD. 7:30 am.  Series Premiere.
Animated show about a kid who is a daredevil. And he lives in the suburbs. [I'm just guessing on that second part.]

SciGirls; PBS. 7:30 am CST (check local listings). Series Premiere.
These tween girls make science look cool.

Survivors; BBC America. 7 pm CST. Series Premiere.
A flu pandemic wipes out most of humanity. This series follows the survivors as they attempt to... survive.
I've read decent things-- and I know that my latest crush, Freema Agyeman, appears in a few eps-- so I'll be checking it out.

Sunday, 2/14

The Amazing Race; CBS. 7 pm CST. 16th Season Premiere.

Ruby; Style. 7 pm CST. Season Premiere.
I just read in EW that she weighed 716 pounds at one point.
Now she's trying on jeans.
Incredible.

Prison Wives; Investigation Discovery [is that a real channel?].  7 pm CST. mini-series.
This 13-part doc investigates wives in prison.
[Hey-- sometimes the title actually does explain the program.]

How to Make It in America; HBO. 9 pm CST. Series Premiere.
A comedy that follows a duo of young designers as they try to work their way into the New York fashion industry.
