Television Premieres and Notables: January 25-31, 2016

So I forgot a big one for me last week:

Sunday, 1/24

Rock and Roll Road Trip With Sammy Hagar; AXS TV. 8 pm CST. Series Premiere.
The rock singer goes road trippin' and hooks up with some friends along the way to talk about their hometowns. Like Michael Anthony and Tommy Lee in L.A., Bob Weir and Mickey Hart talk San Francisco, Nancy Wilson and Seattle.

And back to our regularly scheduled premieres format:

Monday, 1/25

Lucifer; Fox. 8 pm CST. Series Premiere.
Based on the DC Comic, Lucifer (yes, that Lucifer) decides ruling Hell isn't that great anymore, so he comes to Earth and solves crimes while running a nightclub.

The Magicians; Syfy. 8 pm CST. Series Premiere.
I've heard it described as a Harry Potter with older kids (and some scenes of older kids doing what older kids do).
You know:

Tuesday, 1/26

The Outsiders; WGN America. 8 pm CST. Series Premiere.
An Appalachian family that's lived off the grid for decades has to fend-off an incursion by a coal company,

Thursday, 1/28

You, Me, and the Apocalypse; NBC. 7 pm CST. (Mini-)Series Premiere.
Rob Lowe, Jenna Fischer, and Megan Mullally star in this series about a group of people who hunker-down in a bunker when a comet strikes the planet in this 10-episode series.

Friday, 1/29

The Vampire Diaries; The CW. 7 pm CST. Mid-season Premiere.

Sunday, 1/31

Grease Live; Fox. 7 pm CST. Special.
Fox isn't letting NBC have all the fun (*ratings*) for live musicals...

The Venture Bros.; adult swim.  11 pm CST. Season Premiere.
After the events of the previous season (it's been so long, I don't remember), the family moves to NYC.
