I like the comics. They're funny and cartoonish enough.
Who would have expected the movie to have the same gonzo sense of humor?
From early December:
Before Christmas, we get Deadpool's secret plans-- which look very much like Kevin's plans from Home Alone:
Then we get Deadpool's Christmas list:

$240 worth of pudding. Awesome.
Then we get a "sit on my lap" stand-up:
Which, as it should, led to people having fun with it (Deadpool approved, I'm sure).
Then the dopey, 40-Year Old Virgin homage:
His Christmas letter:
'80s style IMAX poster:
A few TV spots, which shows how silly it all is.
Then, on Christmas Day, they drop the red band trailer:
Shit just got real...
But they weren't done.
He took over an issue of Empire:
Then he has a spot during The Bachelor where he says the movie is a love story.
I mean, it premieres Feb 12; the time for a Valentine's date...
So they adjusted the marketing to play up the romance with:

and:
and even:
and to draw the young crowd:

And because the old people thought SkullpoopL, they did this one:

And back to Valentine's Day:
This Marketing team needs to get a raise...
Four more weeks until it hits theaters, so I can only imagine what they'll come up with next...
