Television Premieres and Notables: June 20-26, 2016

Monday, 6/20

Reign (CW; 7 pm CST). Season Finale.

The Fosters; Freeform. 7 pm CST. Season Premiere.

Raised By Wolves; Acorn TV. Streaming. Series Premiere.
This comedy follows a teen who tries to make it through life with her five siblings and single mom.

Tuesday, 6/21

Pretty Little Liars; Freeform. 7 pm CST. 7th Season Premiere.

Person of Interest (CBS; 9 pm CST). Series Finale.
The big showdown between The Machine and Samaritan-- and we've seen that even the good guys can be killed along the way.
This season has been harsh and tense, and I have a bad feeling that one-- or even both-- of our O.G. number-followers will not be alive by the end of the hour.

Greenleaf; OWN. 9 pm CST. Series Premiere.
Oprah Winfrey brings us this soap opera that follows the lives of people in a mega-church.

Wednesday, 6/22

Serena; Epix. 7 pm CST. Special.
This documentary follows Serena Williams' quest to win four Grand Slams.

American Gothic; CBS. 9 pm CST. Series Premiere.

How to Build...Everything; Science. 9 pm CST. Series Premiere.

Thursday, 6/23

Thirteen; BBC America. 9 pm CST. Mini-series Premiere.
A woman escapes her captor after thirteen years and tries to get her life back.

Queen of the South; USA. 9 pm CST. Series Premiere.
A woman rises in the ranks of a drug cartel.

Friday, 6/24

Adventures in Babysitting; Disney. 7 pm CST. Special.
Disney Channel's 100th original (well...) movie is a remake of the 1987 film.
Because... why not?

Saturday, 6/25

Deon Cole: Blooded Seminar; Comedy Central. 11 pm CST. Special.
Normally I don't note the weekly stand-up specials, but I think Cole has been the consistently funniest parts of Black-ish and Angie Tribecca.

Sunday, 6/26

Roadies; Showtime. 9 pm CST. Series Premiere.
Cameron Crowe brings us this look at the people behind the tour of a folk rock band.
The reviews I've read haven't been great, but the stars are Luke Wilson and Carla Cugino, so at least there's that.
(BTW: the pilot can be seen onDemand or on the Showtime app now.)
