TV News Odds and Ends

FOX and NBC took chances by giving low-rated series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Chuck full-season pick-ups. The CW also ordered more scripts for Privileged.

Starting November 5, Life moves to Wednesdays at 8 pm CST. That's not to say NBC has tons of hope for the show, but they wanted to make a "crime block" on Wednesdays (and maybe to boot Lipstick Jungle to Friday Night Hell).

Gary Cole, who has been everywhere lately (Desperate Housewives last season, and a stint on Chuck next month) will get a few episodes of Entourage later next month before he becomes a regular cast member next season. Cole's TV work doesn't scream "funny" to me, but then he was Lumberg on Office Space. Ah-- that doesn't matter, I've been a big Cole fan since American Gothic. And I won't spoil the potential plot development with Cole's part; but it could mean big things for the gang if mean what I think it means.
