Fave: Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel: Jackie Robinson

I've mentioned this show before. I don't watch sports as a rule, but this show is wonderful in its presentation, and it'd be a crime not to watch. In a single hour, I can laugh, cry, get mad, and feel many more emotions than I can on most any other show.

I posted my favorite clip about a little boy who loves to golf-- even though he was battling for his life here.

But I thought I'd take the opportunity to embed a clip from one of Gumbel's nearly always-great end pieces fromn an episode.  This is where Bryant can get down and dirty. It's where he said the NFL commissioner had a leash on the players union president, it's where he said it was time to lay off of Michael Vick (he had great reasons), and it's also where he can pay tribute to people and events.  Here's what he said in April 2008 about Jackie Robinson:
